　　由于杏（平手友梨奈 饰）转往美国的法律事务所，藏前（室毅 饰）失去了负责照看的律师，因此被所长暗示即将终止契约。刚好此时，他得知人气“艺能型律师”樋口新（木南晴夏 饰）正准备从事务所独立开业。藏前随即亲自上门请求：“请务必让我在您手下工作。”在被爽快答应的当场，他慌忙签了文件，却不知道这正是“地狱的开端”。

　　Following her mother’s death, manga artist Soriya travels to her ancestral home in Phnom Penh, with hopes of reconnecting with her distant family and using the visit as inspiration for her work. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
