爱之子

故事设定在20世纪90年代末的越南西南部乡村，讲述了年轻女子Lan（Phương Thanh饰）在父亲去世后，前往一位名叫Danh（Mạc Văn Khoa饰）的鳏夫家中担任女佣。她很快发现这座房子隐藏着可怕的秘密：神秘的死亡事件接连发生，村庄中流传着关于“守财灵”的传说——一种通过黑暗仪式召唤的灵体，用于守护财产，但会对陌生人造成致命威胁。Lan与一位名叫Sơn（Quốc Trường饰）的恐怖小说作家联手，试图揭开这些离奇事件背后的真相。

　　小说家丹尼尔（奥斯卡·马丁内兹 Oscar Martínez 饰）从刚出道起事业就顺风顺水，如今更是获得了诺贝尔文学奖的殊荣，攀登上了职业的顶峰，然而这荣誉却并未带给他满足，恰恰相反，丹尼尔担心名声和财富会夺走他文学创作上的灵感与锋芒。　　一晃眼五年过去，丹尼尔热度不减，邀约和奖项不断，可冷淡而又避世的他只教助手一一回绝。一封来自小镇萨拉斯的信吸引了丹尼尔的注意，萨拉斯是他阔别已久的故乡，如今邀请他踏上故土，接受“杰出公民”的奖项，在未告知媒体和朋友们的情况下，丹尼尔独自踏上了返乡的旅途，在那里，他再度见到了曾经的恋人艾琳（安德丽娅·弗里杰里奥 Andrea Frigerio 饰），如今的艾琳早已经嫁为人妻，而她的丈夫正是丹尼尔的旧友安东尼奥（达迪·布列瓦 Dady Brieva 饰）。

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

　　迪伦（大卫·斯佩德 David Spade 饰）是一个无忧无虑的年轻人，生活在洛杉矶的一幢十分舒适的房子里，生活里没有什么事情能够让他心烦，可谓十分自在。一天，他的隔壁搬来了一位名叫莉拉（苏菲·玛索 Sophie Marceau 饰）的女邻居，莉拉美丽、温柔，充满了神秘感，她的不可捉摸深深的吸引了迪伦，让后者的脑袋里装满了有关她的浪漫想象。　　然而莉拉对爱情却并没有什么憧憬，她有一个十分善妒的前男友瑞纳（帕特里克·布鲁尔 Patrick Bruel 饰），莉拉想要的全部，就是尽快摆脱这个可怕的男人，和自己的狗狗杰克一起相依为命。为了博取莉拉的信任，迪伦偷偷藏起了杰克，哪知道事态的发展渐渐超出了他的掌控。
