意大利在20世纪30年代初。老贵族杰拉德·维伦纽夫，利奥诺拉即将死去，所有剩下的是一些色情录音磁带。利奥诺拉有着双重人格的生活，一面是体面的妻子和两个孩子的母亲，另一面试作为一个在当地妓院的妓女。现在，在她去世后，她的孩子厄休拉和埃德蒙通过下师从杰拉德。虽然没有见过他们很多年了，他完全弄糊涂了厄秀拉的她的母亲离奇的相似。虽然杰拉德的情妇Fiorella的照顾性需求的埃德蒙，厄休拉她的母亲的最后指示。在这个过程中，她用她母亲的录音遗留下来的进入她与杰拉德的心态。杰拉德准备再次找到他失去的爱利奥诺拉她的女儿在相似吗？
