剧情提要
薛海是公路站副站长，他临危受命到一个贫困的山村(酱子村)做第一书记，因 为自己的兢兢业业受到了当地老百姓的爱戴。然而“村村通”公路施工队老板， 认为薛海严格把关道路质量，导致自己无利可图，便心生一计，以泼脏水的手 段害的薛海被停了职。后来幸亏得上级部门的明察秋毫，最终还了薛海同志的 清白，同时，酱子村的所有村民们也在请愿书上签了字，并按上了红手印，希望 他们可亲可敬的薛书记还能回到村里工作! 如愿再次回到酱子村的薛书记，依旧是忘我的工作，可是天有不测风云，他因 劳累过度，最终倒在了工作岗位上，大家痛心疾首，他们纷纷来到追悼会，怀着 悲痛的心情送薛书记最后一程。

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
