　　一次偶然中，阿秋（吴耀汉 饰）和贝多芬（岑建勋 饰）结识了犯罪调查专家阿文（许冠文 饰），志同道合的三人成为了很好的朋友。然而阿秋和贝多芬的真实身份系大盗，两人和阿文正邪不两立，而阿文对此并不知情，三人的关系在摇摇欲坠之中维系着艰难的平衡。　　某日，阿文在商场里撞见了自己的妻子杜白莉（胡茵梦 饰）正在和珠宝富商阿杨（翁世杰 饰）约会，遭到了背叛的阿文感到十分愤怒，决定对阿杨进行报复。阿文驾驶着自己的机车要和阿杨的豪车一决高下，哪知道遭遇了车祸，不仅自己受伤，坐骑也报废无法再骑，窘迫的时刻，阿秋和贝多芬及时出现，替阿文解了围。

In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.

 根据余华同名小说改编。富少福贵（葛优）嗜赌成性，妻子家珍（巩俐）屡劝无果后带着女儿凤霞离开了他，当夜，福贵输光所有家产气死父亲，被迫靠变卖母亲首饰租间破屋过活。一年后，家珍手拉凤霞怀抱刚出世的儿子有庆回到家中，福贵痛改前非，开始靠演皮影戏过起安份守己的日子。但好景不常，内战时期，福贵被国民党抓去当劳工，一番辗转终回到家乡与一家人团圆后，凤霞因病变成哑巴，而在后来的大跃进运动和文化大革命中，他虽获某些小福，逆境却也一直与他如影相随。
