20世纪60年代，日本学生运动渐次激烈，学生和政府之间的对抗朝着暴力的方向失控狂奔。某晚，登川直造（笹原茂朱饰）、丸山国男（山川蜜饰）等人领导的学生组织在据点内遭到警方搜捕，混乱之中，他们夺下警察的配枪夺路而逃。在经过某个漆黑巷道时，他们将手枪扔在公共厕所的洗脸盆中，被路过于此的公司青年职员铃木（秋山未知污饰）拾得。厌倦了枯燥呆板的公司氛围以及平庸无望的生活，铃木追上众人，希望加入他们的组织。次日，登川等人的拒捕行动被媒体歪曲成袭击警察的恶性案件。为避风头，他们跟随铃木躲进郊外一所公寓中，日常以吃喝、ML打发时间，所有外务全由铃木打理。学运的失败和理想的破灭让这群年轻人朝向破灭，纵情享乐。铃木却不愿面对这样的失败

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
