　　本片改编自“ 阿道司·赫胥黎 ”同名小说。一个在原始社会长大，通过阅读莎士比亚自学的野蛮人，突然有一天加入了他父母所在的未来社会。然而，他不能适应他们的生活方式……

　　故事主角是失去五岁女儿芽衣的铃木佳惠（长泽雅美）和丈夫忠彦（濑户康史）。沉浸在悲伤中的佳惠，在古董市场找到一个与芽衣非常相似的可爱洋娃娃，并开始呵护它，逐渐恢复了活力。但是，佳惠和忠彦有了新的女儿真衣之后，两人就不再关注这个洋娃娃了。渐渐地，五岁大的真衣开始和洋娃娃玩耍，这个家庭接二连三地发生奇怪的事情。佳惠他们试图摆脱这个洋娃娃，但无论扔掉还是供奉，这个洋娃娃却莫名其妙地回来了！洋娃娃隐藏的秘密是什么？以及即将揭开的震撼真相是什么——！

Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
