Ayşe, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 惊魂绣花鞋
一双绣花鞋，隐藏着一个死亡诅咒，凡是穿过绣花鞋的人都意外惨死，无一幸免。安雯（何乙轩 饰）大病未愈，摆脱了丈夫潘航（辉灿 饰）和医生的看护，独自逃回老家古宅生活。安雯在老宅发现了一双祖上流传并受到死亡诅咒的绣花鞋，阴差阳错之下绣花鞋穿在了她的脚上，意外开启了绣花鞋上的死亡诅咒。咒怨生效冤魂索命，盘桓在老宅之中的诡影无处不在，无法摆脱的恶灵如影随形，迫使频临崩溃的安雯做出疯狂的举动，陷入一场危机四伏的惊魂逃亡……
